WVIT
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR CAREGIVERS
1. What is the West Virginia Infant/Toddler (WVIT) Professional
Development Program for Caregivers Training?
WVIT is a comprehensive training for providers that work with children
aged birth to twenty- four months to help support and promote quality
child care in the state of West Virginia.
2. Who should attend the training? Caregivers who work with children
aged birth to twenty-four months for twenty hours or more per week should
attend the training; however, others may attend if the allotted space
permits.
3. What is the stipend that accompanies the program? There
is a monetary stipend that accompanies the training that is dispersed
after the training and other criteria are met. (Stipends are dependent
on available funding.) In addition, resources are available to support
program implementation.
